The sixth season of The Ren & Stimpy Show started airing on July 15, 2017 with the episode "Ren-Incarnation", and ended on February 10, 2018 with the episode "Eat Humble Pie".

Co-creator Bob Camp also returned to the show, as did Billy West (the original voice of Stimpy), and many original cast and crew members such as Vincent Waller (who resigned as showrunner of SpongeBob SquarePants, making Tim Johnson the showrunner of that series starting in its eleventh season in 2017).

Finally, George Liquor was once again made a recurring character, voiced by Kricfalusi due to the 2010 death of his voice actor, Michael Pataki; Kricfalusi had voiced George in various projects since Pataki's death.
