EarthBound (2018 TV series) (Johnsonverse)

EarthBound (known as Mother in the Japanese states) is an American anime based on the multimedia franchise of the same name. It was developed by Timothy Hill, and has aired on WBC since September 8, 2018.
A reboot of the original continuity, the series is created using a hybrid of animation and practical effects (such as miniatures, puppetry, and pyrotechnics). Though it has several key differences from the original series (such as Poo living and Giygas and Giegue being the same person), many other elements (such as the Daleks instead of the Starmen and the character of General William Landon) remained, while Twoson Police Chief Bill Stagman was omitted due to 2015 death of his actor, Leonard Nimoy.
Production began in 2016 as a response to fan demand for a sixth EarthBound film. Upon release, the series was critically acclaimed for both staying true to and offering a fresh take on the EarthBound franchise. It has been renewed to an eighth season, set for release in 2025.
