During the scene where the Barbara Streisand record skips, this scene was reworked so that the Center Stage curtain opens to reveal Mugi has been holding down a key on her keyboard and looking at her phone, apathetic to Earl's ruse. When she notices the curtain open, she points at Earl and says "It was his idea!". When Rolfe menaces Earl with a power saw behind the Stage Right curtain, the girls react in silent horror as Earl screams.

During the "Trouble in the Bakery" skit, a smoke machine installed above the bakery counter (officially known as "Mugi's Bakery") releases smoke, and a ShowBiz cast member comes out the door dressed as a chef to tell Mugi that there's been an incident in the kitchen. Mugi has to depart to set things right, leading into "Music Goes Round and Round".

This skit was rewritten to instead be about the girls complaining that the script wasn't updated, making them feel like their shows were an afterthought in ShowBiz corporate's eyes. They especially complain about the part in which Fatz and Beach Bear talk about their mothers physically disciplining them as children, likening it to child abuse.

Perhaps the most famous skit ever done at Japanese States locations, this skit involves Mio crying with an open mic following the intermission after "Puff the Magic Dragon", and Rolfe making racially and sexually insensitive comments; before the skit begins, Earl makes a disclaimer stating that the skit contains content not suitable for children. Ritsu hears this, and runs outside the closed Center Stage curtain, the first public demonstration of the AnimeTronics' mobility. Angrily looking around, Rolfe quickly tries telling Charlie to close the Stage Right curtain, but Ritsu runs through it anyway and begins beating up Rolfe while Earl eggs her on and laughs. After sating her lust for revenge, she takes Mio backstage to calm her down.

Following another intermission, Yui and Mugi tell Billy Bob why Mio was crying and Ritsu was uncharacteristically angry and violent. Ritsu and Mio eventually return and, emotionally drained, decide to forgo "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and just do one last song, one important to Mio.

1 | 1 | CEC TV News - Ho-kago Tea Time on Strike! | skit | Chuck E. Cheese Crusty the Cat Tim Johnson Mr. Munch Dook LaRue Fatz Geronimo (voice only) Several audience members |
Duncan Brannan (Chuck E. Cheese) Jaret Reddick (Crusty the Cat) Tim Johnson (himself) Chris Hill (Mr. Munch) Earl Fisher (Pasqually) Duke Chauppetta (Dook) Burt Wilson (Fatz) |
This skit appears entirely on the Cyberstar monitors. After Chuck E. and Crusty report on the strike (which includes a visual gag involving Yui and Mugi misinterpreting what a picket line is by erecting a picket fence around a ShowBiz Pizza Place location), Tim Johnson himself takes over and, in the style of his review segment on Fireside Chat with Tim Johnson, reports on other stories, such as "local idiot" Mr. Munch panning for pizza in a river like it was gold, Pasqually being a terrible comedian, Dook being dumber than rocks but somehow a good musician with a "voice of gold", and Nodoka not being a smart as she thinks, pointing out that she read a teleprompter in her steampunk lesson (she couldn't be reached for comment). This skit also appeared as intermission segments at contiguous ShowBiz Pizza Place and Chuck E. Cheese's locations.

This skit continues from the last one, and is about 45 minutes long. At one point, they try to call up Uncle Klunk, only to find he changed his number and the old number is now a sex hotline. Ui hangs up before anything explicit is said, though she does drop an F-bomb in response (that is censored). Looney Bird uses an Anti-Gravity Freedom Machine to make a joke, only for it to be a joke Pasqually told earlier. Much of this skit was Fechter and Huynh improvising.

Munch's Make-Believe Band is depicted as puppets on the Cyberstar monitors. Tim Johnson is heard off-camera at one point firing the programming director for CEC TV for approving a panel debate about whether or not pizza occurs in nature (in this case, literally firing him with a flamethrower; Tim later said in the next CEC News segment that the director was unharmed). Several songs are played during this skit. At the end, Ui calls Johnson, who tells him to fill the rest of the time with reading fan mail.

This skit's ending was expanded, in which it is revealed that Looney Bird's mom wasn't actually present; Ui impersonated her from behind the Stage Right curtain, not even having to change her voice. The programming guide said that when Yui calls Frosty the Snowman a "jolly, happy dude", Azusa was supposed to give her a mildly irritated look. In the final product, Azusa was instead programmed to look like she's trying not to laugh as a joke; this was caught during production, but the decision was made to keep it, to show that Azusa missed Yui's antics.

Rick Bailey (Yui) Shalisa Sloan James (Mio) Burt Wilson (Mugi) Jeff Howell (Azusa) Aaron Fechter (Billy Bob, Looney Bird, Earl) Unknown actress (Ui) |
To date, Ui's singing voice during group numbers has never been identified. It is believed that either Shelby Lindley (Mugi's speaking voice) provides it uncredited, or Huynh herself pulls double-duty as Ui's speaking and singing voices; neither have been verified by any official sources. This is due to the fact that, in the original Homely for Christmas showtape, Rolfe and Earl were completely absent.

This showtape was the first "override tape", in that it took priority over whatever tape was playing at the time, and all locations had to play it and follow the special instructions attached to it. In this case, as it came while the Summertime 2017 showtape was in use, all Japanese States locations were required to quickly reinstall Billy Bob and Looney Bird, as well as to reinstall the Smitty's Super Service Station backdrop and relocate Jun to Center Stage; in preparation for this, two additional sets of contact points were installed around the time the stage was retrofitted for Azusa, the second set being for Ui. Both Ui (holding Earl) and Jun are on Center Stage during this song, standing off to the left side. An alternate version of this tape with Jun on Stage Left is known to exist, but it was decided to quickly reinstall Billy Bob and Looney Bird for a four-day period in order to reuse "The Liberty Show".

This is one of the rare occasions where the speaking voices for the K-On! characters did their own singing (besides Lindley). The song was recorded in January 2017, around the time of Donald Trump's inauguration, and the voice cast felt it was important to show their solidarity against what they viewed as a "malevolent fascist regime" by singing "God Bless the USA" themselves instead of falling back on archived Creative Engineering material. This was reflected in the spoken dialogue, in which Ho-kago Tea Time affirms they will stand against racism of all forms, "even if it comes from the top". Aaron Fechter, a registered Republican who had Trump campaign signs on the main CEI property during the election, was opposed to these attacks against "his president", but Tim Johnson pulled rank and told him to "shut up"; Fechter, wary of another falling-out between CEI and ShowBiz and another Concept Unification, wisely did so. Hyunh did not do her own singing, and Chloe Johnson confirmed on MySpace that she was Ui's singing voice for this song.

This sketch addresses the rumor that the band lip-syncs. In reality, they have the inborn ability to change their voices at will for reasons scientists are still trying to figure out (Ritsu specifically uses the self-deprecating term "X-Men Wannabes"), and Ritsu and Mio reminisce about the prank calls they pulled using this ability as kids.

In the wake of the Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021, an "Emergency Override" was issued to all ShowBiz Pizza Time, Inc.-owned locations to immediately play all American-related material as a show of strength in the face of the coup attempt. For Japanese States ShowBiz Pizza Place locations, a new version of the "Happy Birthday America" showtape from July 2017 was quickly put together with new programming for Nodoka, Sawako, and Rolfe (the latter making his first on-stage appearance at a Japanese States ShowBiz location since 2016). For this tape, Stage Right was hastily redressed as Rolfe's stage, and Earl and the right arm assembly off of Rolfe were quickly put back on the Rolfe animatronic. |
