Miss Universe 1984, the 33rd Miss Universe pageant, was held on 9 July 1984 at the Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Yvonne Ryding of Sweden was crowned by Lorraine Downes of New Zealand. 81 contestants competed in this year.

This is the first of three consecutive Miss Universe Pageants taking place in Canada and CTV will broadcast the pageant from it's host country while UBC aired it from the United States with a Stereo Simulcast which is Syndicated to Radio Stations including Rhythm Radio O&O's as Bob Barker hosted it along with Joan Van Arc.
