Solomon S. Stanford is an animated character created by Randy Perkins for the Ludicrous Limericks series of cartoons. In the 1937 short "Sullying Solomon", his full name is given as Solomon Staniel Stanford.

First introduced in 1932, Solomon has seen many changes in his personality, but his most famous persona is that of an Australian game hunter who is seeking to find and hunt down Chocodile to obtain his one-of-a-kind brown skin.

Origin

In 1932, Perkins, inspired by a trip to Australia he had taken recently, decided to create a new nemesis for Darrell Dog, and sketched out a rotund, mustached hunter.
