The Railway Series is a British television series that started airing on ITV in the UK on January 4, 2011, and WBC in the US on March 14 of that year, based on the book series of the same name by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry. The series is narrated by Colin Baker, and features individual voices for each character, live-actors digitally added on model sets, and a darker, more realistic tone which includes mentions of people being killed in the on-screen crashes. It also features characters from TUGS. The series' music is composed by Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell, with stock music composed by Barry Gray also used.
